Island campsites you can only reach by boat

42 campsites on 22 islands with no bridge or causeway to the mainland and no town of 10,000 people: you get there on a ferry, or on some, a small plane. The furthest from a big town first.

We leave out islands you can drive to (Skye, Anglesey, Hayling) and ones with a big town of their own, like the Isle of Wight. Check the ferry before you book: on the smaller islands it may only sail a few days a week, and some won't take a car or a caravan.
