The Creel Yard sits on the small island of Grimsay in the Outer Hebrides, on the old yard where local fishermen used to store lobster creels over winter. It is pods only, with no pitches for tents or campervans: six turf-roofed double pods, one four-bed family or group pod and two twin Overnighter pods, spread out so you cannot see your neighbours. Each has bedding, electricity, wifi and a porch or deck with chairs and a firepit, and fuel for the fire is sold for a small charge.

Everything else is shared: a big communal kitchen and dining area, six bathrooms, a decked area, parking and an EV charger, plus a washing machine and dryer on a coin-in-hand basis. Well-behaved dogs can stay in the pods but not in the communal areas. A seafood cafe and shellfish shop are a ten-minute walk away at Kallin Harbour, and the Hebridean Way walking and cycling routes are a few miles off. The owner also runs a second pod site, The Tractor Shed, at Paible on North Uist, and can take whole-site group bookings of up to 22 beds.
