Otters Edge is on the Liniclate township on Benbecula, with the beach just behind the site and a swimming pool and small gym nearby. It used to trade as Shellbay Caravan and Camping Park and is run from Shell Bay House.

There are 17 hardstanding pitches with electric, five grass pitches with electric a little further from the facility block, and two tent fields, one with 3m by 3m pitches for walkers and cyclists and one with 5m by 5m pitches beside the car. Facilities were upgraded in 2022 and include showers, a drying line, grey and toilet waste disposal, water points and a campers' room with kettle, microwave and charging points. Campfires are not allowed and there is no WiFi, though 4G is reliable.
