The West Harris Trust runs three small hook-up sites on the Atlantic side of Harris: three pitches at the Talla na Mara arts centre, seven at Pairc Niseaboist just down the road, and four in the old Seilebost school grounds near the machair and beach. All look across the Sound of Taransay.
They take motorhomes, campervans and caravans up to 7.5m. Tents are not allowed; roof tents are accepted. Toilets, showers, laundry and chemical disposal are on site, and the Talla na Mara cafe and gallery are a short walk.
The Trust also keeps seven roadside parking spots around Luskentyre, Seilebost and Nisabost for self-contained vans. These can't be booked and ask for a suggested £10 a night.
