Staffin Caravan & Camping Site
Small, long-established Skye site at Staffin between the Storr and the Quiraing, taking tents, caravans and motorhomes, with a bothy and a takeaway.
Staffin Campsite has been going for over fifty years and sits above Staffin Bay on the Trotternish peninsula, about 16 miles north of Portree. The Trotternish Ridge rises behind it and the Minch spreads out in front. Pitches are a mix of hardstanding and grass, with electric hook-up, and the site welcomes tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes (tents from late April).
The toilet block has free hot showers and hair dryers, there are two coin-operated washing machines and a small campers' bothy with a kettle, tables and washing-up sinks that doubles as shelter in wet weather. Wifi is free to guests and there is a small hot-food takeaway. A footpath leads down to the bay, and the dinosaur footprints at An Corran are close by. The owners also let a two-bedroom cottage and a three-bedroom croft house.
