This is the campsite attached to the Pickaquoy leisure complex on the edge of Kirkwall. It has around 80 pitches, a mix of hardstanding and grass, and 30 of them have electric hook-up. Tents, caravans, motorhomes and RVs all use the same site, and the shops are a five-minute walk with the middle of Kirkwall about ten.

There are two heated camping pods, one sleeping six and one sleeping five, with a kettle, microwave and fridge but no bedding. Guests get a lounge, a kitchen area with dishwashing, laundry, baby changing, a playground next door and free wifi. Electric bikes can be hired from the wardens, which helps on an island where distances add up. Dogs are welcome on pitches but not in the pods, and have to be walked off site, in the park opposite.
