Wick River Campsite
Community-run site beside the River Wick in the middle of the town, with a new toilet block, hardstandings and an easy stop on the NC500.
See all 7 photos- Dogs welcome
Wick River Campsite sits on Riverside Drive, a short walk from the shops, station and harbour, so you can leave the car on the pitch and go into town on foot. It takes tents, trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes on grass, hardstanding and serviced hardstanding pitches, with a cheaper rate for hikers and cyclists with a small tent.
The toilet and shower building opened in 2024 and has underfloor heating, six showers each in the men's and women's blocks, accessible rooms and a family shower with baby changing. There is a laundry, a fridge and freezer, a washing-up room and free wifi. The site is run by Wick Development Trust and profits go back into local projects. Non-guests on the NC500 can pay to use the showers, empty a chemical toilet or top up water. Tall motorhomes need a separate riverside entrance because of a low railway bridge.
