Kirkwall Bay Touring Park sits on Carness Road beside the water of Kirkwall Bay, with boats coming and going and sunsets over the bay. It takes campervans, motorhomes and caravans on hardstanding pitches, each with electric hook-up. Kirkwall's harbour, where the inter-island ferries leave, is about five minutes by car.
The heated shower block includes a family and accessible room, and there is a wash-up room, laundry and grey and chemical waste disposal. The site is on a working farm, so the surrounding fields are out of bounds. Pitches are booked online and the season runs from May to mid-September.
