Skeld Caravan Park and Campsite

Skeld Caravan Park and Campsite sits on the waterfront beside the pier and marina at Skeld, about 25 miles from Lerwick, and is run by the Skeld Waterfront Development Trust. A sheltered, flat grass field takes around 15 tents, and two hardstanding areas hold about 19 caravans and campervans; one borders the grass and the other looks out over the harbour and is lit at night.

The amenity building opened in 2009 and has accessible toilets and showers, a kitchen with kettle, microwave and fridge, a laundry room with washer and dryer, and wifi. Every pitch has a power point, and there is chemical toilet and waste water disposal. A wildlife hide is good for birds, seals and otters, and local fishermen often land shellfish at the pier. Dogs are allowed.
