Runach Arainn is a very small glamping site beside the Old Manse in Kilmory, at the quiet southern end of Arran. Three Scottish-made yurts stand in an orchard and meadow, each with a double bed, futon sofa-beds, a wood stove that also cooks, solar lighting and bedding and towels included. The two larger yurts sleep six and the smaller one four.
Every yurt has a private bathroom with a shower and composting toilet in a shared block, plus its own fridge, an outdoor firepit and a picnic bench. There is a shared kitchen area with kettle, toaster and microwave. Cars park a couple of minutes' walk away, so the orchard is traffic-free and a wheelbarrow is provided for bags.
The beach is a 15-minute walk, with a pub and a small shop ten minutes away and a bus stop five minutes from the gate. Hosts keep chickens, geese and bees, and there is often a supply of eggs and honey. Forestry tracks start right from the site for walking and mountain biking.
