Troutbeck Head is the Caravan and Motorhome Club's site in the north-eastern Lake District, set in a valley beside a brook below Great Mell Fell with views to Blencathra. Ullswater is about four miles away and Keswick ten, and the Kirkstone Pass road leads over to Windermere and Ambleside. Non-members are welcome.

All 149 touring pitches are hardstanding, and the site takes outfits up to 9m; the Club lists no tent pitches. There is a toilet block with family washroom and disabled shower room, dishwashing, laundry, a motorhome service point, a drive-over waste point, Wi-Fi, a games room and a playground. Eight glamping pods are run by the Club's Experience Freedom brand. Follow the Club's directions for the final approach rather than satnav.
