The Quiet Site sits on the fellside between Little Mell Fell and Ullswater, with Helvellyn to the west and the Pennines to the east. Every touring and tent pitch is pea gravel rather than grass, so nothing turns to mud, and each has electric, a water tap and a grey-water drain. There are standard and large serviced pitches, smaller pitches for roof tents and VW-sized vans, and a separate adults-only field. Tents are fine but you may need rock pegs, and groundsheets can be borrowed from the shop.

Alongside the pitches the park rents out 58 glamping units: camping pods, hobbit-style burrows, Gingerbread Houses with their own shower and kitchenette, and adults-only cabins with a private bathroom. There is also a holiday cottage next door. On site you get a bar, a pizza and snack kitchen, a zero-waste shop, a camper's kitchen, laundry, a dog, boot and bike wash, free wifi and EV chargers. The rules are light but the park is firm about noise and does not take large groups, and fire pits are not allowed.
