Setmabanning Caravan Park

Small family-run farm park under Blencathra with hardstanding tourer pitches, a tent field and two let caravans, five minutes' walk from Threlkeld.

Dogs welcome

Setmabanning is a working farm on the edge of Threlkeld, in the lee of Blencathra, with sheep, cattle, hens and ducks wandering past the pitches. It has been taking campers and caravans for over fifty years, and keeps things simple: tourers and motorhomes go on hardstanding with electric hook-up, tents on the camping field.

Charging is plain too. Tourers and motorhomes pay a flat nightly rate, tents pay per person, and there is no extra charge for dogs, cars or awnings. Two pubs are a short walk into the village and Keswick is about four miles away. Bookings are by phone only. The park also lets two static caravans by the week.
