This Camping and Caravanning Club site sits on the shore of Derwentwater, with the lake to the south and Skiddaw and the northern fells to the north. Keswick town centre is a walk away, so it works well for people arriving on foot or by bike, and there is a backpacker room for them.
You can put a kayak, canoe or paddleboard into the lake straight from the site, or have a wild swim. Pitches run from plain grass through electric grass and hardstanding to super-service pitches, plus jumbo electric grass pitches for bigger units. The ground can flood, so every unit must have its towing vehicle on site overnight and some pitches and awnings may be restricted. Its sister Derwentwater Club site is next door.
