Hollows Farm is a working Herdwick hill farm at Grange in Borrowdale, rented from the National Trust. The campsite is two fields beside the River Derwent, with Castle Crag and Grange Fell above you, and the river is a popular wild-swim spot.

The Open Field is drive-on and takes tents, small campervans up to 6m and rooftop tents. The Woodland Field is a 50m walk from a car park and is for tents only. Every pitch is grass with no hook-up, and the toilet block is on the woodland field while showers are a 400m walk away in the farmyard. Bring a head torch.

There are also two woodland glamping pods and a holiday cottage in the farmyard. New for 2026, a sauna is set up by the river on the campsite, booked separately.
