Parkgate Farm is a small farm near Irton in the western Lake District, with fields and woodland around the accommodation and donkeys on site. The campsite has nine large pitches, five of them (numbers 3 to 7) with electric hook-up, plus a camping pod; tents, roof tents, campervans and touring caravans are all accepted.
Each pitch has parking for one car, a picnic bench and a washing line. Family shower rooms, separate toilets, a washing-up area, washing machine, tumble dryer and free Wi-Fi are included. Raised fire pits and BBQs can be hired; disposables are banned.
The farm also lets three two-bedroom glamping cabins, five holiday caravans, several cottages and two large holiday homes, and has grazing for horses at 5 pounds a night. Dogs are welcome, two per unit.
