Shepherds Views is a family-run farm on 230 acres a couple of miles beyond Holmrook, on the quieter western edge of the Lake District. Drigg beach is a 20-minute stroll away and the Wasdale and Scafell Pike end of the national park is a short drive.
Pitches come in grass tent, hardstanding-and-grass and fully serviced versions, most with electric, and every pitch has a fire pit provided. Facilities include a newer block of five private shower cubicles alongside the original family block. There are also two two-person camping pods with chimineas, and three 18th-century farm cottages with private hot tubs. Bikes can be hired on site.
