Shepherds View is a small five-caravan field on the edge of Torver, signposted off the A5804 near the T-junction and marked by Shepherds View House. Pitches are hardstanding, and there is an electric hook-up, a fresh water tap and a chemical disposal point.
The Old Man of Coniston and Dow Crag are in view from the field. A pub serving food is about five minutes on foot, with a small shop, bakery and deli nearby, and Coniston village is two miles away.
