- Glamping
Coniston Park Coppice is the Caravan and Motorhome Club's big Lake District site: 215 pitches in glades of National Trust woodland just over a mile from Coniston village. Most are hardstanding, there are ten camping pitches and 17 pods, and the site has a toilet block, family washroom, laundry and a motorhome service point.
There is a small adventure playground for children, a short walk from the lower exit to Coniston Water, and walking, cycling and watersports nearby. Non-members are welcome and the site is open from late March to early January.
Approach from the south via Newby Bridge, as the final approach from either direction is narrow in places. The glamping pods are run by Experience Freedom, not the Club.
