- Campfires
- Glamping
A big National Trust campsite in Great Langdale, looking up to the Langdale Pikes. About 120 informal pitches are scattered across the camping meadows, and you choose your spot when you arrive; cars stay in the car park away from the tents.
Campervans and motorhomes up to 6.5m, and roof tents, use hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up in several places, plus a few spaces without hook-up in the parking area. Caravans are not allowed. There are nine pods: three basic and six standard, with heat, light and sockets but no bedding.
There is a shop, showers, laundry, a play area, chemical disposal and shared EV charging, and a pub a couple of minutes' walk away. Walks start at the gate, to Stickle Tarn, Blea Tarn and beyond.
