Broomhills is a small pod site on a farm beside the River Lyne, a few miles from Longtown and the Scottish border. There are four ensuite pods strung along a woodland path, each with its own decking, fire pit and wood-fired hot tub. Guests can wander the private woodland and paddle in the river.

The site is off grid, with solar lighting, USB charging and a small gas fire to take the chill off, and cooking is on an outdoor gas hob. Bedding, linen and towels are not provided, so bring sleeping bags, a torch and waterproof boots. The path down to the pods is steep and there is a carry with your bags, so reasonable fitness is needed.

Pods 2 and 3 accept dogs for a charge. The newest pod, Pod 1 (added for 2026), and the Elite Hideaway Pod 4 do not. A small pod shop sells logs, disposable barbecues and snacks, and fresh hampers can be ordered ahead.
