Glamping

Pasturewood sits on a smallholding at Highbridge near Dalston, ten miles from Carlisle and about twenty minutes from the northern Lake District fells. The pods are split into a family park and a quiet, couples-only field called the Quiet Pasture. Every pod has an en-suite, bedding and towels, and a kitchenette with a hob, microwave, kettle and small fridge.

Three family-park pods take dogs; the rest do not. Hot tubs are wood-fired and come with some pods, and a covered BBQ house on the family park lets guests grill whatever the weather. Pygmy goats, sheep and pigs live by the pods, and in spring guests can help feed the lambs. Only the site's own barbecues and fire pits are allowed, and visitors are not permitted.
