Lazonby Pool Campsite

Ten electric pitches beside the River Eden next to Lazonby's community outdoor swimming pool, a few miles from Penrith.

Lazonby Campsite is run by the charity behind Lazonby outdoor swimming pool and sits two minutes' walk from it, on the edge of the village in the Eden Valley. Fields and woodland surround the site, there are views across to the Pennines, and the river is close enough to fish (permits from the pool kiosk or Kirkoswald community shop). Lazonby and Kirkoswald railway station is about a five-minute walk from the pool.

There are ten pitches, all with electric hook-up, for tents, caravans and campervans. Toilets and hot showers are in a block shared with the pool, with washing-up facilities and a chemical disposal point, and a community play area sits between the campsite and the pool. Swimming is charged separately. The site is open Easter to the end of September and all booking is online through Pitchup, at least 24 hours before arrival.
