Caldbeck Camping is a small family-run site in the village of Caldbeck on the quiet northern edge of the Lake District, beside the Cald Beck with High Pike and Carrock Fell above. The Cumbria Way goes through the entrance, so it suits walkers finishing or starting a day on the trail.
Grass tent pitches come in group, quiet-zone and riverside spots, and small campervans can use them (the access road is too narrow for motorhomes). Electric hook-up is an optional extra. Facilities are male and female toilets, two showers and a washing-up shed.
Under cover there are a self-contained Riverside Pod and Riverside Cabin (private kitchen or kitchenette, shower, toilet, decking), plus two basic walker-oriented options: the Bothy and a bunk-bed Hiker's Pod. The cafes, pub and shop in Caldbeck are within walking distance. The site shuts for winter and reopens in spring 2027.
