Blackberry Wood is a patch of woodland near Streat, a short drive from Lewes and Brighton, laid out with tent pitches in separate clearings and a field of quirky places to stay. Each tent glade has its own fire pit and log seats, and there is a shower block, a washing-up area and a shop in the camping area. The woods have a play area, a zip wire, climbing trees and a stream, with fairy doors for children to hunt for.
The glamping side runs from a basic cabin to two handbuilt treehouses, a converted Wessex helicopter, a fire engine and a double-decker style holiday bus. Dogs can come camping and stay in Wildwest Lodge, Little Ewe and the Cosy Cabin, but not in the other units. Music is not allowed, and there is no electric hook-up except on a single campervan pitch.
- Private woodland glade with a fire pit for every tent
- Treehouses, a converted helicopter and a fire engine to sleep in
- Zip wire, play areas and a stream for children
- Open all year except a few days at Christmas
- Shop selling logs, charcoal and ice cream
