Housedean Farm is a working farm right on the South Downs Way, off the A27 between Lewes and Brighton, with buses to both. There are 25 big grass pitches, each with its own fire pit, and views across the Downs.

Prices are per person with no extra charge for tents, cars or fire pits. Facilities include flushing loos, hot showers in wooden enclosures (one open-air), a covered washing-up shelter, a communal fridge and freezer and phone charging.

Glamping is in camping pods and huts: Swift and Swallow, Skylark, Lapwing, Pipit and the Pig Ark, which has its own cooking shelter and outdoor bath. There is no hook-up, so motorhomes and caravans cannot be taken, only small campervans.
