Spital Caravans is a small adults-and-families touring field on Spital Farm on the northern edge of Kendal, run by the Dodgson family. All thirty pitches are hardstanding with electric, water and grey-water connections, so there is no toilet block, shower block or clubhouse: you are expected to be self-contained, and there is an Elsan point.
The site is for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents only. Tents are not accepted, fires of any kind are banned (charcoal and gas barbecues are fine) and EV charging from the pitches is not allowed. Supermarkets with cafes are about 200 metres away and the 43A bus stops at the gate.
There is no play area and no ball games, but there is a small dog-walking area next to the site.
