Kendal Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Kendal Club Site sits on Shap Road on the northern edge of the town, between the southern Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales. The Club describes it as secluded, with open views over the surrounding countryside, and a riverside path leads down into Kendal for the museum, galleries and restaurants.

Pitches are grass or hardstanding, with or without electric, and tents, caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents are all accepted. There is a modern toilet block, dishwashing area, washing machines, a motorhome service point, a shop and a children's play area, plus a designated dog walk. Windermere is a short drive away and the M6 is about seven miles off. Follow the Club's map directions rather than satnav, and note there is no parking for early or late arrivals, second cars or visitors.
