Waters Edge sits in the fields at Crooklands, about a mile from M6 junction 36, which makes it an easy first or last night for the southern Lakes. Touring caravans, motorhomes and tents all have pitches, with room for awnings and pup tents, and the team will hand-pick a spot to suit your rig or put you nearer the amenities on request.

The main building is the draw for a site this size: a heated amenity block with separate showers and washing cubicles, a small laundry, a shop, and a lounge bar with a pool room and a TV lounge upstairs. The bar runs on Friday and Saturday nights and bank holiday weekends, so ring ahead if you want it on a midweek stay. Dogs are welcome on a lead.
