See all 3 photos- Campfires
Farm & Fell is a camping field on Birks Farm, on the edge of Sedbergh and beside the River Rawthey, with the Dales Way footpath crossing the land. Sedbergh's cafes, pubs and shops are about ten minutes away on foot, and the Howgill Fells rise behind. It takes tents and campervans or motorhomes, and there is farm stock in the neighbouring fields, with goats, pigs, horses, sheep, cattle and a highland cow.
There are two fields. The Main Field has 30 pitches, flush toilets, hot showers, a covered pot-washing area, a covered seating area, an Elsan point and recycling bins, and every pitch has its own fire pit. The Wood Field is the louder option for groups, with 20 pitches, portaloos, mains water and showers, and quiet hours that start at 11pm instead of 9pm. Logs are sold on site.
- Fire pit on every Main Field pitch
- Ten-minute walk into Sedbergh
- Dales Way path runs through the farm
- Separate Wood Field for groups who want a later quiet time
- Farm animals in the fields next door
