Garrigill Village Hall Camp Site

A small walkers' camping field behind the village hall in Garrigill, right on the Pennine Way, with showers and a drying room included in the price.

  • Dogs welcome

The camping field belongs to Garrigill's village hall, in a small South Tyne dale village on the Pennine Way and the Coast to Coast cycle route. It is a tents-only field: vehicles and caravans stay off the grass, though you can wheel a trailer or trailer tent in through a side gateway about 2.3m wide. You can pitch on the main field or on the grassed strip on the hall side of the fence, and there is room for roughly eight to ten family tents or fifteen to twenty small ones.

Showers, a drying room and towel hire are covered by the nightly charge and reached by a key-coded rear door, with the code sent in your booking confirmation. There are 24-hour toilets, drinking water, free wifi in the hall lobby, and accessible and baby-changing facilities. Food is not sold on site, so bring supplies unless the village post office store is open, though the hall kitchen has an honesty cupboard of tins, tea and coffee. Dogs are welcome but must camp on the hall side of the fence, as the field itself adjoins a children's play area.
