Fallowfield Dene sits in mature woodland at the end of a no-through road above Acomb, a mile from Hadrian's Wall and on the edge of Northumberland National Park. Pitches are grouped into small wooded areas named after Romans, so each has some privacy.
There are 16 amp hook-ups, toilet and shower blocks, a launderette, and a shop selling essentials and gas, plus a coffee shop. Entry is through a barrier opened with a swipe card given on arrival. Up to two dogs are allowed on a lead.
Vindolanda, Housesteads and Chesters are close, Hexham and Corbridge are a short drive, and Newcastle is about thirty minutes away. Booking is online or by phone.
