Hownsgill Farm is a working farm outside Consett that added a caravan park in 2007 and later a tea room. It looks over the Lanchester Valley and sits on the junction of the Consett and Sunderland C2C route and the Waskerley Way, so it suits cyclists and walkers.

There is a six-berth static caravan to rent and pitches for touring vans and tents. It opens April to October.
