Beamish Holiday Park

Small family-run holiday park near Beamish Museum with grass and serviced touring pitches, pods, a shepherd's hut, hire statics and a clubhouse bar.

  • Some dogs
  • Glamping

Beamish Holiday Park, until recently known as Bobby Shafto Caravan Park, is a small park run by the Peel family on Money Hills outside Stanley in County Durham. It has views over the surrounding countryside and sits close to Beamish open-air museum, which gives a discount on tickets to guests staying two nights or more.

Tents and trailer tents go on grass, while caravans, motorhomes and campervans use hardstanding or fully serviced pitches. Each pitch is 7m by 5m and has to fit your car as well. Alongside the touring field there are wooden pods, a shepherd's hut, a gypsy wagon and two-bedroom hire statics, one of them with a hot tub. There is a children's play area on the touring field, a toilet and shower block built in 2020 and a clubhouse bar open at weekends and in school holidays. Day visitors are not allowed, and work vans or signed commercial vehicles are barred from the site.
