The Barn at Easington is a 30-acre rewilded farm on the Durham coast beside Hawthorn Dene, run alongside nature and wellbeing projects. Only three tent pitches are offered, so it stays quiet.

You can also stay in two pods, two vintage-style static caravans, a two-bedroom cabin with a wood burner, or a single campervan pitch with hook-up. Campers share a toilet block, showers, washing-up area and a semi-outdoor kitchen with a veranda.

The farm is at the end of a mile-long track and the beach is a 20-minute walk through fields and woods. The whole site can be hired by one group for quiet gatherings.
