Hammer and Pincers Caravan and Campsite

This small site opened in September 2017 beside the Hammer and Pincers pub in Preston-le-Skerne, with open countryside views. It is licensed for 20 caravans and 10 tents: twenty hardstanding pitches (twelve with electric hook-up) and ten camping pitches, four of which have electric, water and grey waste. The A1 is about three miles away, so it works as a stopover as well as for a long weekend.

Facilities are two small toilet blocks, a gents with two toilets and one shower plus baby change, and a ladies with three toilets and two showers. Arrival and departure times are flexible, dogs are welcome and small, well-managed campfires are allowed. The pub next door serves food and real ale, and it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
