Richmond Hargill House Club Campsite

Hargill House is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site at Gilling West, a few minutes from the A1 at Scotch Corner and the A66. It has 61 touring pitches, 41 of them on hardstanding, and it takes outfits up to 10m. Non-members can book. There are no dedicated tent pitches.

The ground slopes gently and looks south over the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Richmond is about four miles away with a Lidl that has motorhome parking, and a bus stop within a mile runs to Richmond and Darlington. Walking routes from Gilling West and Richmond are pinned up in the information room, and National Cycle Route 52 is the nearest.

This is Herriot country and the area Turner painted, so there is a walkers' Turner Trail locally. The Bowes Museum and the Wensleydale Railway are within day-trip range.
