Strawberry Hill sits on a hill at Running Waters, Old Cassop, a short drive from Durham city and the A1. Every touring pitch has a 16 amp hook-up, on grass or hardstanding depending on availability, and tents are taken at the same rates. The park is dark-sky friendly, so a clear night here is good for stargazing.
On site there is a washroom and laundrette with a book swap, an accessible bathroom, a tea room and shop for basics, and a small play area for younger children. A converted horsebox bar sells bottled drinks and snacks. Dogs are welcome on leads, and charcoal barbecues or small fire pits are fine if raised off the ground; fire pits and logs can be hired. Six holiday homes, including a shepherd's hut for two, can be rented, and four of them take pets. Commercial vehicles are not allowed.
