TANDO, the Tynedale and Newcastle District Outdoor Club, has run its Pineglades site since 1952, about 10km from Newcastle. It is a naturist site: visitors are welcome to camp, but expect nudity in the grounds. There are sheltered camping lawns, hook-ups for caravans and motorhomes, toilets and showers, and heated clubhouses with a woodburner and pool table.

Around the grounds you will find a wood-fired Finnish-style sauna, an above-ground pool for warm weather, a petanque terrain, a miniten court, a children's play area and a woodland walk. Club caravans can be hired for those without their own accommodation. The site is open all year, though some facilities are reduced between November and March. Contact the club in advance for a quote and to secure a place.
