Heather View sits on the banks of the River Wear near Stanhope in Weardale, County Durham. It is a rental holiday park rather than a tent or tourer site: you stay in a caravan, a lodge or one of the hot tub lodges.
Accommodation runs from budget Clover caravans through Daisy, Holly and accessible Meadow caravans to Oak lodges with two or three bedrooms. The Hideaway sleeps six with a private hot tub, and the Auckland Signature Lodge is unique to this park.
On site is The Curious Grouse, a bar and dog-friendly restaurant with a beer garden, live entertainment, soft play and an arcade, plus an outdoor play park and a wildlife discovery trail. High Force waterfall and Hamsterley Forest are an easy drive.
