This is a five-pitch certificated location at the back of The Crown, a former pub in the village of Mickleton in Upper Teesdale. Pitches are large, flat all-weather hardstandings, each with a grass verge, its own water tap, a 10 amp hook-up and room for a caravan or motorhome, an awning and a vehicle. A heated shower and toilet room, opened with an entry code, and a chemical and waste disposal point at the entrance are shared.

The site is for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only, and adults only. Up to two dogs are allowed if kept on a lead. You can walk straight from the pitch onto the Tees Railway Walk, three miles from Middleton-in-Teesdale and its Co-op, and the Pennine Way, High Force and Hamsterley Forest are a short drive away. Barnard Castle is about five miles off.

The pub itself is not currently open as normal, so do not count on food or drink on site. The owners also let a one-bedroom micro barn in the garden to friends travelling without a van.
