Pecknell Farm is a family-run touring field at Lartington, just outside Barnard Castle in Teesdale. It takes caravans and motorhomes only; tents are not accepted. Pitches can have electric hook-up, and hardstanding is available for heavy outfits if you ask when booking.

The heated toilet block has four showers, free of charge, with shaver points and hairdryers. There is a washing-up point, a chemical disposal point and cardboard and plastic recycling. Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed per caravan, and there are walks close by. Bookings are by phone only, not email or Facebook.
