Usha Gap is a working sheep and beef farm run by the Metcalfe family, a 15-minute walk from Muker and Thwaite in the Yorkshire Dales. There are no marked pitches: you park beside your chosen spot in either the smaller field by the beck or the larger one facing Kisdon hill, with an overflow field when it is busy. There is no electric hook-up, and there is no mobile signal, but free Wi-Fi is spread across the site.

The heated shower block runs on a wood pellet boiler and is open 24 hours, with free showers. There is also a drying room, boot wash, washing machine, fridge and freezer, ice pack freezing, charging lockers, chemical disposal and a reception shop. Fire pits can be borrowed for free, and a fish and chip van calls on Friday evenings. The Pennine Way and Coast to Coast pass close by, and the Buttertubs Pass is on the doorstep for cyclists. Dogs are welcome at no charge. A two-bedroom cottage is let weekly by the farmhouse.
