Stablefell is a back-to-basics tent campsite run by Marc and Jo Banks above Marsett, close to Semerwater in Raydale. It is for tents only: no campervans, motorhomes or commercial vehicles, and no walk-ons, so you book ahead. Every pitch comes with its own fire pit, and there is no electric hook-up, mobile signal or wifi.

The shower block has five flushing toilets, five showers with hot water, a freezer and outdoor washing-up sinks, powered by solar panels on the barn roof. A small shop sells firewood and camping basics, with sourdough pizzas on selected days that you pre-order. Free-range chickens and goats mean dogs stay on leads. If you would rather not pitch, there are tipis to hire, put up ready for you.
