Hawes is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site with 119 touring pitches, all hardstanding, between the River Ure and the market town of Hawes in Wensleydale. It is open all year and the Club lists it as for members.
The town is about ten minutes on foot, with a Spar, pubs and the Wensleydale cheese trade, and the Pennine Way and Dales footpaths start close by. There is a games room, a dog walk on site and a late-arrivals area, and two four-bedroom holiday cottages can be rented here.
Do not rely on a sat nav for the last stretch. The Club advises the written directions and warns against the M6 junction 37 route via Sedbergh as narrow.
