Old Hall Cottage is a family campsite in the middle of Hardraw village in Upper Wensleydale, beside the river and under Stags Fell. The tea room at the entrance is where you book in and pay; the same local family runs both.

Facilities are simple: two toilets, two coin-operated showers and a hot-and-cold washing-up area. There are no hook-ups, and the lane in is too narrow for large motorhomes and caravans, so it suits tents and small vans.

Hardraw Force waterfall is a few minutes away, the Pennine Way passes through, and Hawes with its shops and creamery is about a mile and a half off. Dogs are not allowed at all.
