Three Lochs sits at Balminnoch in Wigtownshire, a woodland corner of Dumfries and Galloway about 45 minutes from the Cairnryan ferries. The park is built around three private lochs, and the one nearest the holiday homes, Loch Ronald, doubles as the watersports loch with a hut hiring out kayaks, paddleboards, pedalos, rowing boats and jet skis, plus an inflatable aqua park in summer.

It is a holiday-home park rather than a camping field: you rent a self-catering static or lodge on its own pitch with decking and parking, sleeping four or six. Bed linen and Wi-Fi are included, towels are not. On site there is a heated indoor pool, a play barn, a bar and restaurant that lets dogs in, a small basics shop, horse trekking, golf and clay and archery shooting, and coarse and trout fishing on the lochs. Dogs are welcome in every holiday home and on the woodland trails, but not in the pool or the play barn.
