Drumlochart is a wooded holiday park at Leswalt, about five miles from Stranraer, laid out around a fishing loch. It is mainly a touring caravan and motorhome park: 30 hardstanding pitches, each with electric hook-up, a patch of lawn and room for a car and awning. Touring guests get their own refurbished shower block with hair dryers, plus a laundry with commercial machines and an ironing area.
The park also has privately owned holiday homes and has let a three-bedroom log cabin. Heated outdoor and paddling pools open in the July and August school holidays, and Black Loch holds rainbow trout, bream, roach, perch and carp, with day permits at £15. There is a games room, a children's play park, a lounge bar with peak-season entertainment, free Wi-Fi in the information centre and a goat meadow. Dogs are welcome at no charge. Booking is by phone or the park's booking office, and a deposit secures a pitch.
