A 32-pitch grass field beside the old Bull i' th' Thorn pub at Hurdlow (the pub itself has now closed for good). Pitches are generous at 8m by 12m, ten have electric hook-up, and one price covers a tent or small campervan, up to six people and a car. Dogs and awnings cost nothing extra.

The facilities are a unisex block with three toilets and three showers, two family rooms with their own toilet, shower and sink, outdoor plate-washing sinks and drinking taps dotted around, all free to use. It runs on self check-in now.

The High Peak and Tissington Trails are across the road for walking and cycling, and Buxton is about ten minutes away by car. Caravans and motorhomes are not accepted, and campervans must be no longer than 5.3m. There is a separate area for Duke of Edinburgh and school groups.

Price per pitch includes one tent or small campervan, up to 6 people and 1 car. No extra charge for dogs or awnings. An extra car is £5 per stay. Early check-in from 12pm and late check-out until 1pm are £5 each. No minimum stay; maximum stay 28 days.
