Dale Farm Campsite

Quiet adults-only (16+) farm campsite in Great Longstone, under a mile from the Monsal Trail, with a modern washblock, farm shop and three pubs within walking distance.

  • Dogs welcome
  • Campfires
  • Adults only

Dale Farm is a working farm on Moor Road in Great Longstone, in the Peak District close to Monsal Head, Bakewell and Chatsworth. Since 2026 it has been adults only (16 and over), and the owners are firm that it is a quiet site: no amplified music, no vehicle movement between 10pm and 7am, and groups are generally not taken. Pitches take tents, trailer tents, roof tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans, all with 10 amp electric hook-up available. Some pitches are on the hillside and need a four-wheel-drive to tow a caravan up the track.

The purpose-built washblock has eight toilets, seven showers with free hot water, pot-washing sinks and an accessible washroom, and there is basic free wifi. The farm shop sells its own meat and eggs, firewood and charcoal, and custom fire pits can be hired. Dogs are welcome on leads. Three pubs are a short walk away, and the Monsal Trail is under a mile off for walking and cycling. There are no hired tents any more.
